Born in Moultrie, Georgia, Steve spent most of his life in Clearwater, Florida. He built a life around the things he loved, including cars, animals, music, dancing, and singing. Steve spent much of his career in automotive sales, a field that reflected his lifelong passion for automobiles.
Beyond his career, Steve found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. Whether enjoying his love of cars, spending time with his animals, or expressing himself through dancing and singing, he embraced the interests that brought him joy and made him uniquely himself.
Steve is survived by his beloved husband, Corey Peerson; his brother, Mark (Lisa) Tucker; his sisters, Debra (Bubba) Taylor and Sharon Tucker; and his nephews, Jeremy (Nicole) Ussery, Dustin Ussery, Brandon (Mary Catherine) Tucker, and Trent Tucker. He also leaves behind several great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wanzie Woodrow and Katherine Sue Tucker.
Though Steve’s life has come to an end, the memories he created and the love he shared will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends. His passion for cars, his love of music and dancing, and the interests that brought him happiness will remain part of the legacy he leaves behind.
A Celebration of Life for Steve will take place on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, 435 North Cherry Street, Monticello, Florida. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Steve’s life, share memories, and honor the person he was.
May those who mourn his passing find comfort in the memories they hold dear and in the love that continues beyond a lifetime.
Rest in peace, Steve. You will be remembered and missed.
