Sandra Lou Corbin

(1958-2026)

Sandra (Sandy) Lou Corbin passed away peacefully with her loving family at her bedside on August 18, 2026. Sandy battled pancreatic cancer for over a year. Sandy was born in Mitchell County on November 24,1958 and lived in Cairo, GA all her adult life.

She grew up in a humble home with little material wealth, but had love, laughter, faith, and strength. From an early age she learned the value of hard work and perseverance, these lessons served her well throughout her life. Sandy loved being able to help other people, she loved cooking, putting up fresh vegetables and most of all she loved her family.

She is survived by:

-Her son Daniel Hammond (Georgia), his children Brady, Gabby, Penny and Marley.

-Her daughter, April Curry (Jeff) her children Riley, William and Kaison.

-Sisters & Brothers, Faye Stilwell (Greg), Peggy Lee -twin sister, David Corbin (Tuleda), Cathy Barrett and Greg Corbin (Susanne).

-Many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

A Memorial service will be held at graveside on September 19, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Midway Baptist Church, 2389 HWY 93 S, Cairo, Georgia 39828.

Lunch will be at Sandy's house following the service.

In lieu of flowers, Sandy's children ask you to purchase a beautiful flower/plant for yourself, if you wish. When you look at it, smile because our mom loved you; she also loved smiley faces. Let's Smile for Sandy! The Family would also like to ask for a colorful celebration; Sandy couldn't pick a favorite color "they are all too pretty" is what she would say.
