Robert Francis Linville

Robert (Bob) Francis Linville age 83 of Tallahassee FL. Passed away on January 5, 2025 @ 6:52 (Hospice Time 8:11 pm) from a battle with Cancer. He was born on July 28, 1941 in Winston-Salem NC. He has lived in Leon County since 2009.

He was preceded by his parents Ora Mae and Robert D. F. Linville, his first wife of 62 years Barbara Clodfelter Linville and his brother Calvin B. Linville age 90.

He is survived by his wife Merial Owens Linville, her 5 children and 9 grandchildren. His three daughters: Sharon Coley (husband Tim), Frances Lowder (husband Mike), Ruth King (husband Michael). He is survived by his 6 grandchildren: Paul Coley, Sam Blalock, Stephanie Bunch, Casey Parker, Michael King Jr., Monnie Villanea. He is survived by 10 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren, As well as many nieces and nephews.

He retired from Shlitz/Stroh’s Brewery in the early 1990’s. He also worked at Culrale in Auburndale FL for a few years. He had been a mechanic off and on for most of his life and in his last years he became a Master Carpenter.

He was a man who didn’t waste time discussing trivial details but collected his facts, drew his plans and went to work.

He attended Church at Corinth Baptist Church.

His service will be held on January 11, 2025 for family and friends at 11:00 at Corinth Baptist Church in Hosford FL. He will be buried in Hartford AL at the Westley Chapel.
