Paul Richard Bauer Jr.

Paul Richard Bauer Jr. of Pinetta, Florida passed away on January 28th, 2025 at the age of 66. Paul was born on April 17th, 1958 in Bethesda, Maryland. He grew up in Portsmouth, Virginia where he spent his time in the Boy Scouts, camping, hiking, and sailing.

A 1992 graduate of Valdosta State University, he worked doing research and development in the chemical industry at Landis International.

Preceding him in death is his father, Paul R. Bauer, MD of Wilson, North Carolina and his mother, Marcia Bauer of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Paul is survived by his wife, Joy Bauer of Pinetta, Florida; Daughter, Laura Bauer of Pinetta, Florida; Son, Paul Bauer of Midland, Texas; Sister, Janet Bauer Rossi of Suffolk Virginia; Sister, Diana Anderson (Tracy) of Stanardsville Virginia; Brother, Leslie Charles Bauer (Tracie Cowart) of Valdosta Georgia; Grandchildren, Trevor, Leslie, Adaline, and Asher; and his many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Big Bend Hospice in Tallahassee for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in his final days.

A celebration of Paul’s life will be planned for a later date.
