Pat was a fun loving woman who enjoyed dancing, singing, cooking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. Her specialty was Czech food and her favorite band was the Free Wheelin' band.
Pat was born in Berwyn, IL to Henrietta and Earl Susmilch on June 1, 1949. She graduated from Morton West High School in Berwyn, IL. Pat married Gary Radtke, her high-school sweetheart and the lead singer of her favorite band, on October 14, 2006, in Tallahassee, FL. She was the Vice President/Meeting Planner for the Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds for the states of Florida and Alabama and has been involved in the RV/Campground industry for over 45 years. Pat has also been a loyal member of the Moose Lodge Local 1075 since 2005.
Pat is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Henrietta Susmilch; her brother, Chuck Susmilch; and her first husband, Joe Striska.
Pat is survived by her husband Gary Radtke; daughter, Tricia Hovis (Bill); grandson, Joe Hovis; sister, Mary Monroe; brother, Earl Susmilch (Linda); step-children, Wendy Iaconis (Chris), Lynnae Kramer, Jeff Radtke (Megan); 9 step-grandchildren; 5 step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; amazing friends; and last but not least, her snuggle boys, Benji and Buddy.
We will all miss her beautiful smile and charismatic personality. She never met a stranger and welcomed everyone to have fun!
She was a devoted mother, loving wife, creative Girl Scout leader, campground guru, a dancing queen, animal rescuer and true friend. All who knew her were incredibly lucky.
She bravely battled and eventually succumbed to small cell lung cancer.
Memorials may be given to TMH Cancer Center, Big Bend Hospice or Wakulla Animal Services.
