Marj enjoyed many hobbies; crocheting, sewing, musician, artist, fishing and boating just to name a few. She loved taking pictures and chronicled her entire life with family and friends. Marj was very active in the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3308 and served as president of the Women’s Auxiliary several years. One of her finest memories was coordinating the Veteran's Day Parade. She was extremely generous with her time as a volunteer at the VFW and the VFW Clinic, receiving many awards for her contributions. Marj had an adventurous spirit and loved to travel. Her travels took her to many foreign destinations from Saudi Arabia to Russia and was always ready for a new adventure.
Marjorie was married to the late Robert C. Brayfield and is survived by her three children, Paul Brayfield of Hattiesburg MS, Sharon Rambo of Tampa, FL and Marjie Beal (John) of Tallahassee as well as her four grandchildren, Debbie Sehorn (Jesse) of Woodstock, GA, Amber Dunshee (Jon) of Wesley Chapel, FL, Liz Beal Humphrey (Shane) of Tallahassee, FL and Sarah Beal of Tallahassee, FL, and her three great grandchildren, Andrew and Nathan Sehorn of Woodstock, GA and John Humphrey of Tallahassee, FL.
A memorial service will be held graveside at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Cemetery 1855 Fox Rd, Tallahassee, FL 32305 on September 23rd at 3:00pm. Following the service there will be a celebration of Marjorie’s life at the VFW Post 3308 in Tallahassee.
