Larry Ray Gamble

Larry Ray Gamble, 82, of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away on September 29, 2026. Born July 2, 1944, in Pineville, KY. Larry lived a life marked by steadfast effort, quiet courage, and a well-timed sense of humor that brought lightness even to ordinary days.

Larry is survived by his only child, Sherrie (Jeffery) Ritchie; his grandchildren, Michael, Larry, Felicia and Earl Ritchie; and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse James Gamble and Jessie Gamble; and his wife, Eve Gamble.

Those who knew Larry will remember a man who met life with determination and resolve, never shying away from what needed to be done. Away from the demands of daily life, he found welcome peace in fishing and took pleasure in traveling—simple pursuits that reflected his appreciation for time well spent and horizons still worth seeing. In all things, Larry carried himself with dignity, and his warmth—often expressed through a dry, easy humor—will be missed and fondly remembered.
