James (Jim) age 87 was born in Baltimore, MD, to Francis & Evelyn Pepersack of Towson, MD. He graduated from high school at Loyola Blakefield in Towson and then University of Detroit in Mechanical Engineering. Like his father, he worked for the Glen L Martin Co. in Baltimore on the Apollo program until he was transferred to the Orlando Division where cold war missiles were being built.
There he met his wife, Margaret. They were married for 62 years. He did contract work at a number of engineering sites until in 1969 he decided to settle in New Orleans where he worked for Bell Aerospace and later Chrysler Missiles & Space. He received his MBA degree from University of New Orleans and went into management consulting. His last job was database management for a contractor for the U.S. Navy.
He and Margaret had three children: Lauren Pepersack (Mark) Milligan, James Graham Pepersack, Kevin Sadler Pepersack. In 2005 they were flooded by hurricane Katrina. Jim and Margaret lived in a FEMA trailer for 2 ½ years while he restored their house. In 2013 they moved to Tallahassee where they have family and friends. Jim died peacefully at home on June 30, 2026.
