Carolyn Ann Giddings Helm, age 83, of Tallahassee, FL, passed away on 1/30/25. She was born in Palatka, FL, on 11/26/41. She graduated from Palatka Senior High School and Jackson Memorial Hospital Nursing School. She worked as a nurse in various cities throughout her life, ending her career in Tallahassee. She also had the opportunity to travel and live abroad for many years. She had a zest for life and loved her family and friends.
Carolyn was predeceased by her parents, Travis A. and Hazel E. Strickland Giddings, and sister, Gwen Giddings Smith. She is survived by her brother, TD Giddings (Kathi), brother-in-law Fred Smith, nephews Travis (Cindee) and George (Marci) Smith, all of Tallahassee, and Alex Giddings of LA, niece Lainey (Trent) Lind of Nashville, and nine grand-nephews and nieces.
She was a member of Morningside Church and loved to cook and play pickleball and bridge. No services are planned at this time. Donations in Carolyn’s memory may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308.
