Anice was born October 26, 1956 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital to Marnita Hatchett and Howard B. Taylor.
Anice was what most refer to as a “Jack of all trades”. There was nothing she couldn’t do. She had many titles in her life.
In her teens and early 20’s She worked as a phlebotomist, vet technician, and stable hand. In her mid-20’s she started working at Olin; now known as General Dynamics in St. Marks, FL. In the early 2000’s Anice left General dynamics to pursue her dream of owning a Café (The Breakaway Café) which she owned for a few years. After she sold the café she started working at the Crystal Connection; here she became a spiritual guide, as well as in her personal life, helping all who needed spiritual guidance.
In 2011 Anice went to work at Ace hardware in Woodville where she became a master gardener and permaculturist, teaching many in the community how to grow beautiful fruitful self-sustaining gardens. She also became known as “The Chicken lady”. In late 2021 she retired due to her health.
Anice was vibrant, resilient and strong. She never took no for an answer. She was very physically active throughout her life but one of her greatest personal achievements was running her first Marathon at the age of 60. Anice loved nature and all animals. Her pets were her heart and soul. Her passion for many many years were her horses and dogs. She loved to garden, there was nothing she couldn’t grow. She was always very proud of living off the land.
Together Anice and Noah raised their 2 daughters Leslie and Jamie on their family homestead in Fanlew, Fl. Family was everything to her, she was an incredible mother to her daughters.
