Allan John Domuret, Lt Col, USAF (Ret) died at Covenant Inpatient Hospice, Sacred Heart Hospital, Pensacola, Florida on June 24, 2019. Al was born to Alfred Peter Domuret and Estella Adele Kudla on May 6, 1937 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.
Lt. Colonel Domuret was honored to serve his country during the Vietnam War with over 5,000 combat hours and received multiple awards during his career. He retired in July 1980.
Professor Domuret earned advanced degrees in math, economics and held his Doctorate in Public Administration while in the Air Force. He loved teaching! He retired as Director of Computer Sciences of Business Administration from California State University, Sacramento in 1991 and went on to teach at Pensacola Junior College (now Pensacola State College). We returned to California in 1995 and Al taught computer science classes at Sierra College and American River Community College until 2001.
His parents; his brother, Roger; and, his first wife, Ann Middleton, preceded Al in death.
Mr. Domuret is survived by his beloved wife, Jeanne Domuret, his brother Dennis Domuret (Barbara) of Houston, TX and sister, Diana Morgenstern (David) of Bryon Center, MI; his children Kelli Domuret- Berger (Steve) of Big Pine Key, FL, Bruce Domuret (Cyndy), of Citrus Heights, CA, Vera Crawford (Jeff) of Bakersfield, CA, Terri McKee (Mike) of Livermore, CA, David H. McClain (Stephanie) of Hayward, CA; and by ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews expanding many generations.
Lt. Col. Domuret will be buried at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, FL with Full Military Honors followed by celebration of his life with family and friends in the future. Our family requests donation to your choice of charity in lieu of flowers.
