Sonya Jean Rosengren

Sonya Jean Rosengren was born 06-01-48 and entered Eternal Life on 01-31-25. With peacefulness and tranquility, she began her new journey. Sonya was a loving and caring person to her husband, Arthur, reminding him each day how much she loved him. Sonya and Arthur were married over 44 years.

Sonya was preceded in death by her parents; older sister, LaVonne; and sister, Dorothy. Sonya is survived by her older brother, Calvin Heyer (Darlene); younger sister, Kathy (John); and nieces, Christine, Carrie, and Shana.

In life, Sonya positively influenced many. In her AA program she sponsored and actively supported dozens in their journey toward sobriety. Sonya’s AA birthday of 09-10-1979 resulted in 45 years of a quality sobriety.

In the end, Sonya “Did it My Way”. Her decision was supported by her family and her dear friends.

A special thank you to all her caregivers, the Neptune Society, and hospice. Remembrances can be made to the NW Kidney Foundation or by just dropping a few extra dollars in the basket.

Services for Sonya will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 15226 21st Ave SW, Burien, WA 98166 at 11:00am on 03-08-25. At Sonya’s request, no flowers or open mic, please.
