We never met, but please accept my condolences
 Rob and I met as ABC pages and were writing partners in the late 70's and early 80's. He went on to do his radio health show and I continued writing. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. I really enjoyed my time with Rob. He was a very bright guy who had many interests. I admired him.

Dear Brenda,

I’ve been thinking so much about you, and about Rob, and about those days out at your home in Port Townsend. I still remember pulling up after fighting with the ferry schedule — the universe always seemed to test me on those trips — but I never minded the journey. I felt genuinely lucky to come out to your beautiful space and to spend time with both of you.

Even in a short time, Rob’s presence made a lasting impression. He had a rare, grounding way about him, and the work that we all did together helped me immensely. When I went through my very own scare, his kind messages brought me real comfort and reminded me I wasn’t facing it alone. You both are angels.

The spiritual world Rob lived in and worked from… it was who he was. You could feel it immediately — the compassion, the intuition, the sincerity. People like him don’t come around often, and losing someone with that kind of spirit is heartbreaking beyond words.

Across the water, I’m sending you strength. If you ever feel like sharing a memory or a moment about Rob, I’d be honored to hear it.

We were in summer school with one of those rolling TV carts tuned to Gus Grissom's ill-fated 1961 space hop.   Six years later, I was gassed after the first calisthenics the first day of football practice, and it was time to sprint a ways and throw a cross-body block on a dummy, and it was my turn and I wasn't moving.  Captain Spears swatted my ass and sent me on my way, saving what was going to be my final chance to play football.

I  am so very sorry to hear of Rob's passing.  I have so many fond memories of doing interviews on radio with Rob and his lovely wife, Brenda.  Rob was such a "mensch."  Kind. Funny . Curious and oh so bright.  The world has lost a true health crusader.  May his memory be an eternal blessing.
