Rita Ann Dorner

Rita Ann Dorner was born March 20, 1937 to Arthur and Loyola Garrison in Yakima, Washington. Rita graduated from Grandview High School in 1955. Rita married and moved her family to Seattle where she raised 6 children. She had a 25-year career with United Airlines, ending her career in air freight where she was fondly referred to as "sarge." Rita loved traveling, ancient history and gardening. Her family was her biggest joy.

Rita is survived by her husband Timothy Dorner, brother Tom Garrison, sister Susan Schneider, children Charlene Dailey, Anita Clement, Phyllis Mills, Linda Canary, James White, Marilee Fisher, Jennifer Dorner and Doug Dorner. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her grandson Taylor Passmore.

Services will be held on August 30 at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1401 Valley Ave., Sumner, WA.

10:30 Rosary, followed by Mass at 11:00 and a reception at the church.
