She was born June 17,1930 in Mayfield, Kentucky to Roscoe and Jewell Carman. She attended the local schools and graduated from Murray State College in 1952 with a major in Piano, and a minor in English. She was married to James Ray Henry on December 20,1953. They divorced in 1975. Carolyn remarried on May 9,1989 with Willam A. Kelley.
Carolyn's many interests included sewing, cooking, sailing, reading, and anything new, exciting, and challenging. Her work career was in the medical field- ending as an x-ray technician.
Her favorite place to live was the 25 years she lived in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she and Kelley were active members of the Dutch Oven Society.
Carolyn is survived by her son,Scott Henry of Oak Harbor, Washington; her daughter, Gail Foyle of Federal Way, Washington; her five granddaughters, Stephanie, Abigail, Gwendolyn, JoEllen, and Alexia.She also felt privileged to have 6 great-grandchildren. Carolyn was predeceased by her parents, older brother, George, younger sister, Judith; and her husband, known as Kelley.
The family will have a private remembrance ceremony at a future date.
