

Joseph fought the odds each illness until he NO longer could, and passed away at his home in Puyallup.
He was born in Seattle, raised in Burien, WA. Where he graduated at Highline High School in 1966 and continued his education journey at a community college until he got the notice. He was very proud to have served in the US Army 1967-1970 and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Shortley upon returning he got a job with the US Postal as a letter courier for 37 years until his retirement in 2004.
H is preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Georgianna of Burien; sister Marilyn Kemp of Marysville; aunt Marge and uncle Allen Snowberg of West Seattle and niece Donya Grand of England.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years Judy (Schmidt), sister Elizabeth Johnson of South Dakota, brother John of Marysville, sister Carol Grand of England. Nephews Robert Kemp (Samantha) of Marysville, Brian Johnson (Mellisa) of Marysville, Marc Johnson of South Dakota, cousin Sue Copeland of South Dakota. Numerous grand- nieces and nephews and many family members in Michigan.
Joe will be laid to rest at Tahoma National Cemetery May 15 at 1:00. All are welcome. A celebration of life will be held May 15 at 3:30 at the Landmark convention Center in Tacoma.
