Joan Marie Del Greco

We are sad to announce the death of Joan Marie Coffey Del Greco on April 1st, 2023 after a long and fulfilling life. Joan was surrounded by her loving family in weeks before her passing. Born on June 6th, 1937 in New York City, Joan met her husband, Frank Del Greco (1934-1997), in New Haven, CT and they were married in 1960. Together, they moved to the west coast in 1965 with their four young children, and lived for more than 30 years in Newark, CA. Joan completed a Bachelor's Degree from Albertus Magnus College, and Master's Degrees from Cal State Hayward and the Pacific Graduate School of Psychology. She worked for many years as a professor and counselor at Ohlone College in Fremont, CA, before opening a private practice as a Marriage & Family Counselor. She spent her last 20 years in quiet retirement in Medford, OR and Auburn WA. She was a devoted mother to David, Andrew, Barbara and Daniel, doting grandmother to Zarah and Dessa, and beloved sister and aunt to Tracy and Lexington. She was loved and will be missed very much.
