Jeanne was born in Seattle, WA, to her parents, Margaret and Hubert Hill, and she grew up in Seattle with her siblings, Kenny, Dick, Margie, and Virginia. Jeanne was a beloved wife, mom, grandma, sister, aunt, daughter, Godmother, and loving friend to so many.
A warmhearted homemaker, Jeanne managed her family household through seven moves and six school changes for her two kids. She was also a diligent bookkeeper for the Boy Scouts of America for over two decades in the Tri-Cities and Seattle; she was a devoted caretaker at Mount St. Vincent nursing home in West Seattle; and she frequently found time for her true passion—caring for young people—in the form of babysitting generations of kids, including family members, neighbors, friends, and anyone else who was lucky enough to have their children under her safe keeping. Jeanne adored her grandchildren and never wanted to miss a thing they were involved in. She was their biggest fan and could often be found in the bleachers or on the sidelines, cheering them on at their various sporting events. Jeanne's family enjoyed reminding her that she earned the honor of Valedictorian at Immaculate Conception High School, class of '64. Not only smart, loving, and kind, Jeanne was also tough—courageously fighting and winning a battle with breast cancer for over 10 years and remaining in remission until the time of her passing.
Jeanne leaves behind her husband, Richard (Rick); her daughter, Chris Sylvester, and her husband Mike and their adult sons, Corbin and Jake; and her son, Brian Corrigan, and his wife, Heidi, and their sons, Cole (16), and Carter (13).
A celebration of life for Jeanne will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 7000 35th Avenue SW, Seattle, 98126, on Saturday, December 2, at 11:00 a.m., with a reception to follow at the Walmesley Center that is part of the church.
In lieu of flowers, the Corrigan family asks that you please consider donating to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
Jeanne’s burial will be during a private ceremony with immediate family at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in La Conner, WA.
