James Burr McGregor "Jim" of Poulsbo, Washington died on July 21, 2023 at the age of 74 years. Jim was born in Bisbee, Arizona. He was the son of Robert Burr McGregor "RB" and Mary Reece Townsend "Beecie" who preceded him in death.
Jim was an avid golf player. He loved the Seattle Seahawks and the Dallas Cowboys. He graduated from Bisbee High School and Mesa Community college and attended Arizona State University. He loved country music and John Wayne movies.
The best job of his working career was with Panasonic Company. He was a Territory Manager for the northwest. He loved the traveling and working at all the military base exchanges.
Jim's joyful presence brought happiness to everyone around him. He was a source of inspiration. and a pillar of strength and a true friend to all those who crossed his path. He loved telling cute jokes to everyone he saw in his daily life.
Jim loved all animals. Nikki and Minki were two bichon friese that passed away. He adored our dog, Buttons. Buttons will comfort his wife, Elaine. She was his favorite dog.
It was in Phoenix, Arizona when Jim met his wife, Elaine. Like in the song, her apartment was two doors down from his. They fell in love and married in Scottsdale in August of 1981. Elaine was the love of his life.
Jim leaves behind his Uncle Ron McGregor, Uncle Burt Nichol and several cousins. His friends, Ricky & Kitty Sharp, Cheryl & Bob Burns, Brandon & Christine Weber, Sherry Arnsby, and Gary Hicks.
Jim will be buried in Providence, Kentucky in a family plot. There will be no formal service. A gathering will be determined at a later date.
