Jim’s memory continues in the hearts of his loving wife Lyn Powers, and family members Leslie Burkhalter (Rick), Judy Sanner (Charlie), Sandy Fish (Mike), Kim Caley (Dan), Norman Smith (Kristi), Alex Smith (Jennifer), and many adoring nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gene Kaul II (Debbie).
We celebrate the life of Jim Kaul - a true character whose presence was as unique as his passions. Jim was the quintessential curmudgeon, with a gruff exterior that belied his generous heart.
He was a man of diverse interests and undeniable talents. His love for fishing wasn't just about the catch; it was about the peace and tranquility of the water, the stories shared under the open sky. His collection of guns was more than a hobby; it was a testament to his appreciation for craftsmanship and history. Jim was a devoted fan of the Mariners, cheering them on through every season, his enthusiasm infectious, his hope for each game unyielding. His woodworking was an art form, where he turned reclaimed timber into treasures that will be cherished by many. An avid handyman, he had a gift for solving problems, lighting up homes, and ensuring safety and comfort for all.
His absence leaves a void in our hearts, but his legacy lives on in the laughter, the lessons, and the love he left behind. We'll miss him at the lake, in the workshop, and in our lives, but we know he is watching over us, always.
Rest in peace, dear Jimbo! Your memory will be forever a beacon of joy and inspiration.
