February 28, 2023 at 11:33 our Greta Lou left us to be with God. She is survived by her husband, five children, twenty four grandchildren and thirty two great grandchildren. And outside of family she touched the lives of many people in many ways brightening and enriching their lives. She will be remembered as someone who always spoke her mind and never left any doubt about how she felt on any subject. She also shared those things she loved most with those around her
Her children all remember her love of extended road-trips usually on roads less traveled. Something I am sure she learned from childhood road-trips with her parents and now her grandchildren have learned from their parents and are passing on to their children. She would also share favorite recipes, arts and crafts projects and special foods. Like a pebble dropped in still water the ripples flow ever outward growing and expanding her legacy grows and expands ever outward from generation to generation.
A few weeks before she passed she wrote a short letter to the two little girls who live next door “Soon I will be going away. God had things for me to do here on earth and I guess I must have done them well because he wants me to come to heaven and help him there. Please do no be sad. When you see a cloud floating in the sky know that I will be watching over you, and I can run and jump and play like I have not been able to for quite some time. Be good for your parents and grandmother. I love you. Lou."
There will be a celebration of her life at the United Methodist Church of Kent at 11010 SE 248th St Kent Washington 98030 at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday May the sixth.
We would encourage everyone so inclined to donate to the American Cancer Society in Greta Lou’s name.
