Douglas Alexander MacDonald passed away Friday, January 5th 2024 at the age of 94. He is survived by his two children Anne and John and three sisters Patricia, Margaret, and Jeanette.
In addition to his military service as a pilot with the RAF, he trained as a mechanical engineer and worked for Napier Aircraft Engines in the UK before a move to Canada where he worked for Canadair. A job opportunity with Boeing brought him to the Seattle area where he worked first as an engineer and later as a flight instructor in the 737 program. Upon retirement from Boeing, he continued flight instructing in simulators at Flight Safety International.
