Daniel (Dan) Lee Korn, 55, of Algona, WA, passed away on May 1, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest. Dan was born to Vinsen Korn Sr. and Brenda Olson on January 31, 1967. After attending Auburn Senior High School, Dan went on to work many years in the sales industry.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Dan. He always looked forward to celebrating holidays and birthdays with the ones he loved. An avid sports fan, one of Dan’s favorite ways to spend a Sunday afternoon was watching football and rooting for his teams. Go Cowboys and Seahawks! He was a master at many things including riding a unicycle and solving a Rubik's cube. Dan dedicated much of his life to teaching those around him whether it was how to play cards or how to solve a complex math problem. He especially loved teaching the children in his daycare preschool. Dan could have a conversation with anyone and there was nothing he enjoyed better than an interesting conversation with a good (or new) friend. He never hesitated to let people know that he loved them and cared. His family will always remember him as someone who had such a positive outlook and touched so many lives.
Dan was preceded in death by his father Vinsen Korn, mother Brenda Olson, step-father Curt Olson, brother Jonathan Nobles, sister Belinda Morris and niece Ruby Nobles.
Left to cherish his memory are his siblings Vanessa Stockemer, Vinsen Korn, Melissa Drane, Katie Washington, Judy Mellroth, and Thelen Bartley; many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; aunts; cousins; and the countless number of friends that made his life so special. Dan will be missed and never forgotten.
