Betty Fay Simmons

Ms. Betty Fay Simmons born May 6th 1947 to Bill and Gussie Simmons in Madera California. She departed this life on February 25th 2023 in Tacoma Washington to join her father, mother and oldest sister.

Betty is survived by her son Gary Simmons of Yakima Washington, her daughters, Rose Hilburn of Reno Nevada, Tammy (Dave) Austin of North Chesterfield Virginia and Kerrie Smith of Tacoma Washington, her brother

Bill(Pam) Simmons of Gig Harbor Washington, sisters Billie (Terry) Cox of Yakima Washington and Gloria Simmons of Litchfield Arizona, her Grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

We little knew the day that God was going to call your name

In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone

for part of us went with you the day God called you home.

You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide

and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same

but as God calls us one by one the chain will link again.

A Memorial in Betty's honor to be held

in the Tacoma area, will be announced at a later date.
