Robert "Bob" Timothy Emmet

February 19, 1941 – September 30, 2026
Obituary of Robert "Bob" Timothy Emmet

Robert Timothy Emmet (Bob), beloved husband, father, grandfather, coach, salesman, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on February 19, 1941, Bob was raised by Tom and Mary Sullivan Emmet alongside his siblings Tom, Maureen, Jack, Suzi, Joanne, and Patty.

Bob lived a life defined by hard work, devotion to family, and a remarkable ability to connect with people. Throughout a successful sales career, he built lasting relationships and earned the respect of colleagues, clients, and friends.

Bob was the devoted husband of Kathy and proud father of Brian (Kim Strickland), Kevin (Dale Emmet), Beth (Greg Hazdra), and Michael. He was a proud Grandpa to Halston,

Griffen, Cooper, Murphy, Garrett and Allis. Family was the center of his world, and he took great pride in their accomplishments.

Deeply connected to his Irish heritage, Bob was especially proud of tracing his ancestry to Robert Emmet, the Irish patriot and revolutionary. The values of determination, resilience, and pride that he admired in his ancestor were reflected in the way he lived his own life.

One of Bob's greatest joys was coaching youth football. Beyond teaching the game, Coach Emmet taught young athletes the importance of teamwork, perseverance, hard work, and sportsmanship. His encouragement left a lasting impact on many lives.

Away from work and coaching, Bob enjoyed watching football, golfing, Cabernet Sauvignon, a hoppy IPA, and classic black-and-white cowboy shows. He loved good company, good stories, and bringing family and friends together.

Bob often said, "You got to have fun every day." More than a favorite expression, it was his philosophy. Whether sharing a laugh, enjoying a round of golf, or spending time with loved ones, he believed joy was meant to be found in every day.

He will be remembered for his warmth, humor, generosity, and ability to make others feel valued. His legacy lives on through Kathy, his children, and the many family members, friends, players, teammates, and colleagues whose lives he touched.

Though he will be deeply missed, those who knew and loved Bob can honor his memory by living his advice: "You got to have fun every day."

In memory of Bob, his family welcomes donations to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org
