Greggory (Gregg) Allan Morgan left us on December 4, 2024 after fighting a three-year battle with cancer. Gregg was born on December 3, 1955 at Oakland, NE to Rex and Myrna (Noel) Morgan. He grew up in rural NE and graduated from Decatur High School. Gregg was active in football, was an all-conference center, and went on to officiate high school football games.
Gregg married Denelle Sailors in 1976. To this union a son, Travis, was born.
Gregg attended barber college in Omaha, NE and opened his own business, House of Hair, in West Point, NE. Gregg competed and won state and national awards in the trade.
Gregg married the love of his life, Connie Schulzkump, in 1981. While in West Point Gregg joined softball and volleyball teams and enjoyed shooting pool. They moved to Arizona in 1984 where Gregg was a barber for the State of Arizona before working at the Industrial Commission until his retirement in 2019.
Anyone who knows Gregg knew that dogs were an important part of his life. He loved hunting with his dogs and belonged to several hunting clubs, including NSTRA. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing. While on vacation Gregg booked fishing trips in Canada, Mexico, Hawaii and Alaska. Gregg enjoyed gardening, cooking, and grilling and was an excellent cook. He found it relaxing to watch and listen to the Mexican Lovebirds in his back yard.
Gregg was a devoted husband. He and Connie loved spending as much time with family, friends, and grandkids as they could. He was a proud grandpa to Cate and Cam.
Gregg is preceded in death by his father Rex, his mother Myrna, his older brother Lonnie, his father and mother-in-law Amos and Laverne Schulzkump. He is survived by his wife Connie, son Travis and daughter-in-law Sarah Morgan, granddaughter Cate and grandson Cam, sister Anita and brother-in-law Brad Brewer, as well as a host of nephews, nieces, family, and friends.
