Cory Allen Moe was born on June 24, 1980, in Chester, CA. On June 24, 2026, his pain ended and an angel took his hand to lead him home to the Lord and the loved ones who went before him. He passed away at home, surrounded by his family.
Cory is survived by his parents, Michael and Sherry Moe; his brother and sister-in-law, Stephen and Joanie Moe; his sister and brother-in-law, Alani and Doug Lacy; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
An absolute angel from the moment he was born, Cory was so tiny he could fit inside a cowboy hat. He taught those around him how to love unconditionally and gave the very best hugs. He attended school in Monroe, Washington, graduating in 1999, before moving to Phoenix in 2000.
Cory earned many Special Olympics medals in golf, swimming, and bowling. He also enjoyed playing bocce ball, the ukulele, the flute, and the didgeridoo. He loved camping, fishing, and his beloved pets. For 23 years, Cory attended the On Angels Wings DTA program, where he was the very first member. He also worked for Family Partners LLC for over 20 years.
Among his many passions, Cory enjoyed riding horses and traveling the world. He climbed the Great Wall of China, explored many castles in the UK, took cruises, and visited Disney. He was also a passionate photographer and would spend hours revisiting the moments he captured in his many photo books. Additionally, he loved painting, crafting, and creating handmade greeting cards. As the family historian, he never forgot a birthday and loved to celebrate every holiday, complete with decorations and a festive vest. His room was filled with his enormous collection of Coca-Cola memorabilia. He will be deeply missed.
