Philip Bailey, 68, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024. Phil is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Theresa Bailey. His children including Keith (Sarah), Jordan, Jarrod (Juvy), and Rachel; one granddaughter, Stella. And his brother Darrel Bailey. All of whom he loved beyond measure and who loved him in return.
Phil was employed at a few different companies in the later years of his life, from 20 years with Sony to working part-time at Advanced Auto Shop. But by far his favorite job was being his own boss working with Sugar Hill Nut Co. His passion for music was very evident in his life as well, from singing in the worship group at Mid Cities Bible Church to continually improving his skills on the guitar at home. He sang regularly every single day.
Phil lived his life with integrity and hard work. He followed his belief in God, his family, and then work.
He will be missed by many.
His Life Verse: Philippians 3:7-11
But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. [8] What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ [9] and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ---the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith. [10] I want to know Christ---yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, [11] and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.
