Milton Wesley Oglesbee Jr. was the third child of Milton Wesley Oglesbee Sr. and Thelma Richey. Milton was born February 24th 1935 in Lima Ohio. He graduated from Shawnee High School in 1953. He attended Donnley College and Central State College in Wilberforce Ohio.
In August of 1958, Milton was united in marriage to Patria L. Hawkins and to this union Dale Alan Oglesbee (Flint Michigan) and Todd Mitchell Oglesbee (Ocala Florida) were born.
Milton served in the United States Airforce before becoming a police officer in Lima Ohio for five years. In 1965 he was recruited into the Flint Michigan police force where he advanced to the rank of Detective Sargent. Milton received several awards and commendations, to include an commendation for saving a fellow officer’s life by disabling a suspect’s firearm during altercation.
To cherish his memory, is his wife Patrial L. Oglesbee, sons Dale Alan Oglesbee (Patricia Rogers) of Flint Michigan and Todd Mitchell (Joyce Ann) of Ocala Florida; daughter Gwenlyn Nate’ Aubrey of Flint Michigan; grandchildren Terra Marie Poison (Sean) of Spokane Washington, Kara Marie Oglesbee of Pennsylvania, Kristopher Todd Oglesbee (Kari) of Grand Rapids Michigan, Dale Alexander of Grand Rapids Michigan, Christian Gabriel Aubrey Flint Michigan; great grandchildren, S’maiah Elizabeth Guerra of Fort Lauderdale Florida, Leena and Sean Patrick of Spokane Washington, Kendall Kristopher of California, and Gianna Lou Ann Marie Cruz of Pennsylvania; surviving siblings brothers James (Virginia) of Lima Ohio, Robert of Albuquerque New Mexico, and sister Paula of Lima Ohio
Milton was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings William, Ronald, Charmaine, Phillip, and Janice. He has many cousins, nieces, and nephews
