Michael Gerard Curran, aged 67, died on November 15, 2018. He is survived by his wife, Marge, their three children, Tim (Jenn), Joe (Steph) & Val (Eric Watt) and four grandchildren: Aliya & Kinsley Curran, Sophia & Katherine Watt and his brother David (Leslie) Curran of Reading, Pennsylvania. Loving uncle to Keith (Lisa and Maria Kolmos) and Michelle (Mark, Max, Miles and Marley Siorek).
Michael was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1951 and immigrated to the United States in 1957 with his mother, Ester, father, William, and brother, David.
He graduated from St. Rita High School in Chicago, IL in 1969 and received his Bachelor's Degree in Communications from North Central College in Naperville, Illinois in 1996.
He was drafted into the Army in 1971. His time in the military was the only break in his 42 year long career with Illinois Bell/AT&T, which began in 1969. He never once regretted his decision to retire. Not even a little bit.
He married Marge in 1975 and they spent the next 43 years together, raising children, finishing basements and ultimately escaping the Chicago winters by moving to Ocala, Florida in 2014.
He raised three very wonderful, very different children. They inherited, to varying degrees, his sense of humor, his sense of family and his work ethic. They also, much to their spouses and mothers chagrin, took on his Irish stubbornness.
He loved his family dearly and he will be missed.
Michael died due to complications from Frontotemporal Dementia.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home,

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 4 p.m. followed by a military honor presentation.
