At the tender age of 14, in Valley Stream New York, she met Frederick Masone, the man who would become her lifelong companion. Their bond, forged in youthful affection, blossomed into a remarkable 60-year marriage. A testament to her enduring love and unwavering devotion.

Her life was filled with diverse passions and accomplishments. Once an avid golfer, she found joy and camaraderie on the green. Later, she dedicated herself to the field of radiation therapy by providing comfort and care to those in need. Her deep love for animals was evident in her gentle spirit and compassionate nature. We all have fond memories of the farm she created, filled with horses, chickens, and a “rambunctious” llama!

Mary Lou was a determined woman, who navigated life's challenges with unwavering resolve. She possessed a remarkable "do-it-yourself" spirit, embracing new skills and knowledge with enthusiasm. If there was a skill to be learned, she would master it.
