Katy Riggs

Mary K. Riggs, a.k.a “Katy the Lady” went to the Lord on June 10, 2019 at the age of 80. Beloved wife of Charles Riggs, a.k.a. “Pon-yo the Great.” Loving mother of Robin Kolar (Bob) of North Carolina, and Suzanne Curtis of Minnesota. Adoring Nana to Adam Clark and Katy Kolar, GiGi to Lili Kolar. Dearest sister to Joe, Francis, Ken, Donny, Dennis, and Rick Miller, and Joanne Jorgenson, Sandy Sinni, Carol Bohrer, and Nancy Johnson. Cherished by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Predeceased by parents Virgil and Josie Miller.

Katy was always on the go, and loved playing tennis, golf, and pickleball with the girls. She was so creative, a true artist, with her greatest love being pottery. We were proud to say that Katy was one of the founding members of the Colony Pottery Club. She also loved nature, with a special interest in raising Monarch butterflies. Katy had a passion for life: dancing, singing, drinking wine with the people she loved - she always lived life to the fullest.
