Julie Ann Coverdale August 3 1962-January 26, 2025, of Gainesville, Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones in her home. Her battle with cancer was defined by resilience, optimism, acceptance, and a profound, unwavering consideration for her children. She was 62 years old.
She spent her professional life as a nurse, and then a paralegal, making her a lifelong caregiver and advocate.
Those that were lucky to be close to her knew an unparalleled authenticity and thoughtfulness, as well as a refusal to give up on those she cared about. She had a biting sense of humor, and a spectacular taste in art and music. She had a habit of cleaning and organizing the spaces and the lives she entered, leaving them better than she found them.
In her spare time, she enjoyed reading books on Zen Buddhism (as well as other religions and philosophies), watching documentaries, and spending time with her two dogs, Layla and Beau.
To her children, she imparted a deep wisdom of the importance of forgiveness, gratitude and acceptance. She leaves an enormous and truly unconditional love that transcends her passing.
She is survived by her mother Barbara, her brother Bill, and her three children, Liam, Dylan and Samantha. She will be severely missed.
Join the family for a celebration of life at 5pm, May 31 at 5413 NW 45th Dr, Gainesville Florida.
