He was a man who made friends wherever he went and never met a stranger. In the worst of times, he always knew how to crack a perfectly timed joke and bring a smile. He had so many that cared so much about him. He lived many, many life experiences and loved to share the stories of those experiences with those around him.
He is survived by his sisters, Mary Ann Babuschak, June Forrest, 5 children, 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild that he had a lot of love for. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Strelko, his little brother, Edward Strelko and grandchild Nicole Strelko.
He loved the simple things in life and would start each day with a morning beverage, watching the boats come in and go out on the Steinhatchee River. He loved a good cookout with family and friends. He loved to go fishing and to bring other people along for those experiences.
He had a deep relationship with God and loved to spend time learning and talking about the Bible. So much so, that he attended seminary school.
His memory will be a bright reminder to go forward each day with humor, love and an appreciation for what God has given us.
He served our country in the United States Air Force stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska and Omaha, Nebraska. He will have graveside services at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida with military honors the afternoon of Friday, April 18th, 2025 at 2:00pm EST.
