Jeanne A Kunes

Jeanne Ann (Krumbein) Kunes, loving daughter of Barbara Hetfleisch, beloved wife to her Poopsie John of 38 years, loving mom to Melissa (Mike) Stack and Dan Kunes, cherished grandma of Teddy and Millie Stack, dear sister of Sue (the late Greg)Skarr, Patty (Kevin) Malloy, Mike (Lisa)Krumbein, Sandy (Rick) Kochanek, Bruce (Jean)Hetfleisch , Brian (Patsy) Hetfleisch, Carole (Manny) Capsalis, Marianne (the late Ron) Laff , Mike (Christine) Hetfleisch, Jim (Amy) Hetfleisch and Bill (Kim) Hetfleisch, Todd (Kelly) Sobieck treasured cousin to many who felt more like brothers and sisters; and the fun aunt of many nieces, nephews, relatives, and lifelong friends.

She was preceded in death by grandmothers Ella O’Malley and Elizabeth Braun, grandfather Gerald Braun; her father, Richard Krumbein, her dad, Franz Hetfleisch ; her sister, Mary Kaye Sobieck (late Gary Sobieck) niece Julie Skarr, her Uncle Gene Braun, and Uncle Jerry Braun.

Jeanne lived life with a joyful spirit, a generous heart, and a love for family and friends that knew no bounds. She had a way of making every gathering more fun, every conversation more memorable, and every person feel welcome.

Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in imagining her reunited with those she loved and celebrating once again. We can only hope Heaven is ready for her vibrant spirit, endless stories, and the party she is sure to bring.

Service arrangements are currently being finalized for Saturday July 11th in Chicago and will be announced once available.

Please join us on Saturday, July 11th at Most Holy Redeemer in Evergreen Park for a visitation that will be from 11am until 1pm followed by a Memorial Mass at 1pm. We invite friends and family to join us at Bourbon Street in Merrionette Park after.

Our mom never blended into the background, and neither should her celebration of life. In her honor, we invite guests to skip the traditional black and wear their brightest colors, loudest tops, or favorite shades of purple and green as we celebrate a life well lived.
