Janet Marilyn Coggan of Gainesville, Florida passed away on December 7, 2024 at the age of 81. Janet was born April 19, 1943 in Phoenix, Arizona.
She enjoyed reading, traveling, New York Times crosswords, Bridge and volunteering at the Gainesville Humane Society. Janet received her B.A. and M.A. from the University of Florida. She held various jobs on campus. Deciding to go back to school she earned her MSLS degree and worked in the state prison library system retiring as a supervisor of 17 prison libraries.
She is survived by her brother George Coggan Jr. of Land O’ Lakes, Florida. Contributions can be made in her memory to the Dementia Society of America at dementiasociety.charityproud.org
