Jim left this life on August 23, 2016 after a four year battle with cancer. He was born December 6, 1931 in Zanesville, Ohio to Harold R. Richardson Sr. and Leota Steirs Richardson. Jim graduated from Miami University with a B.S. in Education. He earned his Masters Degree in Guidance and Counseling at the University of Toledo. He did his Doctoral studies from 1965-1971 at Bowling Green State University in Ohio. Jim was a First Lt. in the U.S. Marine Corps, and served in the Korean Conflict. On June 11, 1960 he married the love of his life, Jane Fenner of Toledo, who survives. Jim was a Golf Professional for 50 years. He was a four term President of the Northern Ohio Section, Four Year National Board of Directors Member, and served on seven National Committees. Jim Qualified for the U.S National Open, The National P.G.A. Championship, and the U.S. Senior Open. Jim shot his age 667 times. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Harold R. Richardson Jr.,and his infant daughter Nancy Jean. In addition to his wife Jane, he is survived by his son Scott of Toledo, daughter Lynn Lafayette of Ft. Lauderdale, daughter Ellen Jung (Richard) of Stafford, V.A., and his son James R. Richardson II (Chris) Ramah, C.O., Cousins Anne Musial(Bill) The Villages, Liz Ebbing(Gary) of Lima, Ohio, Niece Cindy Fraylick (Matt) of New Madison Ohio, 5 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. Jim was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Summerfield, FL.. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church Summerfield Fl, Trinity Lutheran Church Zanesville, Ohio, or Cornerstone Hospice Foundation, The Villages, FL. Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 11:00am at Trinity Lutheran Church 17330 SUS Hwy 441 Summerfield, Fl.
