Frederick Homer Shaw

Frederick Homer Shaw was born October 8, 1949 and died on December 8, 2024.  Fred was pre-deceased by his parents, Robert Charles and Arlene Howe Shaw, and two of his siblings Barbara Howes and Ralph Shaw. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Leslie, and has two sons Andrew (Victoria) Kirkendall and Lt. Col Peter (Kathryn) Kirkendall.  

He has two surviving siblings, Claude (Gianna) Shaw and Millie Nowak. Fred has two beautiful granddaughters the apples of his eye Aria Kirkendall and Emma Kirkendall. Brother-in-Law Vin Bowden, Sisters-in-Law Kim (Howard) Gager and Cheryl (Jim) Barfield. Nieces and nephews Karen Mercurio, Gino (Kat) Shaw, Arlene (Jared) Fisher, Roberto Shaw, Penni Sheldon, Danielle Gager, Joseph (Ashley) Gager, Christopher Bowden, Teresa Mercurio, Matt Mercurio, Derek Fisher, Thomas Fisher.

Fred graduated from Sydney Central high school in 1968 and retired after 36 years of service from Unison Industries.  His celebration of life will be held January 19, 2025 at Maggiano’s at the town center in Jacksonville, Florida from 2 to 4:30 PM. The celebration of life to be held in Sydney New York will be held on May 3, 2025 address and time to be forthcoming
