His ancestors first moved from France to Canada, and his parents moved to Berlin, New Hampshire, where he was born and raised. He had 4 brothers and 1 sister. He was the baby and this is why his nickname was ‘Babe’. He remained very close to his siblings over the years and miles.
He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was in Korea and Japan. Later, stateside he was stationed in Waco, Texas, where he met the love of his life. A very pretty and sweet “Georgia Peach”, (a nickname his brothers fondly gave her) Shirley R. Scarbrough. They were married on August 28, 1956, and were married 67 years.
He had great careers that he truly enjoyed over the years. He loved learning and took job related classes throughout his life.
Dad loved traveling and he and mom did most of it in a motor home. Going all over the U.S., including Alaska, Canada, and Mexico. Especially his favorite spot, Berlin, NH.
Dad was an amazing husband, father, father-in-law, grandad, great-granddad, and friend. He loved his family and he loved life.
Praise you Father God for his life and allowing us to have him as long as you did. We were and are so blessed.
