Clifford M. Flowers, 90, passed away on February 25, 2025 under the care of Hospice of Marion County in Ocala, Florida. He was born January 6, 1935, in Piggott Arkansas, the son of Ernest E. and Mary I. (Henderson) Flowers.
Known to his friends as Cliff, he graduated from Lane Technical High School in Chicago, Illinois, Class of 1953. Following graduation, he served with the U.S. Air Force. He married Lorena M. (Grove) Miller on October 16, 1974 in Waukegan, Illinois. They celebrated 41 years of marriage, until her death on April 4, 2016. He retired from Carlton Manufacturing in Ocala, Florida after 37 years of employment. He loved his Dodge trucks, Conway Twitty, western movies, and drinking coffee with his buddies at his favorite restaurant.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters, Ernest Flowers Jr., Richard Flowers, Cecil Flowers, Carol (Flowers) Sawyers, and Gwendolyn (Flowers) Weisenburger. Surviving are his two daughters, Donna (Miller) Mahnken, and her husband Richard Mahnken of Ocala and Kristi Flowers of Ft. Lauderdale; one grandson, Nicholas Mahnken of Ocala; one sister, Marilyn (Flowers) Radloff, and her husband, Gary Radloff of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; many nieces and nephews, as well as several close family friends.
A flag service will be held at 10:30 am, Monday, March 24th at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
