

Blair was born Aug 1,1932 in Providence, RI.
He was predeceased by his first wife June Barrows, two sons; Blair Barrows Jr. ,Andrew Barrows and a daughter Jill Caddick.
Blair had a successful career in the Navy spanning 24 years, where he served aboard three submarines and also as a deepsea diver and Commander of the USS Coucal ASR8. He served during the Vietnam and Korean wars and sailed all over the world before retiring as a Lieutenant Commander in 1975.
An accomplished writer of outdoor columns in local newspapers in Southern RI, winning the NE Outdoor Writers Assoc Best of the Year award in 1985. Blair also was published in Fin & Feather magazine and Field and Stream also. He wrote a submarine adventure novel "The Deep Steel" which was published in 2002.
Blair was a lifetime avid fisherman on both salt and freshwater. While living in Maine he became a Registered Maine Guide and enjoyed guiding and teaching "sports" for many years.
While living in The Villages Blair, along with his wife Juliana enjoyed playing cards and other activities with friends.
Blair is survived by his loving wife Juliana Peterson, his daughter Barbara Lagasse, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
