Born in 1941, Barbara was the last surviving of the nine children born to Obie and Cora Webb. She worked outside the home as a young woman, but the work she claimed as her own was making a home for her family, and she gave most of her life to it.
Her faith in the Lord shaped every choice she made. She was whimsical and witty, she treasured her fellowship with friends, and she was a beloved aunt to a great many nieces and nephews.
For more than half her life, Barbara lived with Ménière's disease.
Along with Charles, Barbara is survived by her three sons, Gary Young (Svitlana), Douglas Young (Gay Nell), and David Young; ten adored grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her eight brothers and sisters; the niece her parents took in and raised as a sister to her; and her infant son, Roy.
A celebration of Barbara's life will be held at a later date. Details will be shared with family and friends once arrangements are complete.
In her memory, the family invites gifts to the American Hearing Research Foundation, designated for Ménière's disease research.
