Susan Marie Siders

Susan Marie Siders, born June 24, 1960 in San Francisco, dedicated 66 years to the pillar of generosity. Whether donating to a GoFundMe, offering money to those experiencing houselessness', or caring for her elderly neighbors, she offered her heart to anyone she felt in need.

In her adult life, she committed herself entirely to her children.

We continue to carry her heart.

Susan transitioned into her next journey on July 3, 2026. She joins her mother, Mary Jo Siders, her father, William Siders, her sister, Sarah Siders, the father of her eldest boys, Gary Clinton Carr, and her son, Aaron Christopher Carr. Her earth side family continuing our love for her include her son Derrell, her daughter, Cayla, her son Clem, her daughter Lea, her daughter, Jada, and her son, Kevin. Her two granddaughters, Miranda and Arynn, are loving her, always.

In her early years, she carried an unshakeable sense of integrity which she carried for the rest of her life. Growing up in San Mateo, CA, she earned her badges as a girl scout, was a gymnast and cheerleader, and was a scholar before anyone called her one. Family vacations were some of her happiest memories. When it came time to leave the nest, she pursued her education initially at Fresno State.

She took a hiatus from the collegiate world and eventually earned her degrees from Delta Community College and then Chico State University.

She went on to raise her children, walking in the light of kindness, compassion, grace, dignity, and humility. These values she instilled in us.

She was proud of her own mind – how she could find what no one else knew. When she did discover an answer, she was among communities of doctors, lawyers, and creatives.

Her voice as an investigative journalist for the most profound artist spread further than she knew possible.

She was most proud to be a mother. Her facebook is an archive of her immense capacity for love.

Our mother’s generous spirit, her caring heart, her sense of humor, and feisty finish encompass the blessed experience of Saint Susan.

The water, for offering her stillness when nothing else could.

Michael Jackson for being an avenue of purpose.

Her children will be hosting a small celebration of life for her at Garlic Brother's in Stockton, CA on August 8, 2026 at 5 pm.

We ask that no photos of her be published or broadcasted. She has given to each of us in her entirety.

What a blessing, what an honor, what a privilege, what a gift it is to give to her the respect and liberation she deserves.
