Growing up, the family spent summers on Clear Lake at the Beachcomber in Lucerne, where they enjoyed activities, including fishing and water skiing.
She graduated El Camino High School (South San Francisco) in 1973.
In 1975 her first child, Sandra, was born, followed by Jeffrey in 1977, Joseph in 1978 and Cindy in 1980. She settled in to being a hands on, nurturing mother, which was her greatest joy (until the grandbabies came along).
When her youngest child started kindergarten, she went to work for Lincoln Unified School District, where she was employed for the next 34 years, until her retirement from Lincoln High School (Go Trojans) in 2019. She made lifelong friends while working at Village Oaks Elementary School and Lincoln High School. They started their bunco group and enjoyed their monthly dice rolls.
In retirement, she experienced a trip of a lifetime to Alaska with her brother and her sister-in-law. Lunches with her sister became a favorite ritual. She also enjoyed watching her grandchildren play their varied sports, often traveling to their away tournaments. Her favorite trips were to Santa Cruz, Disneyland, and San Diego, where she enjoyed her grandchildren and their excitement.
She loved her San Francisco Giants (watched all of their games this year!), attending games when she could and her San Francisco 49ers - even drafting Brock Purdy with the first pick in the family fantasy football league. Family was her everything and she found joy in feeding us - specifically her famous spaghetti (there was never enough!), her Christmas morning egg puff, and her “ugly chicken.”
She was proceeded in death by her parents and her sister in law, Margita.
She is survived by her forever grateful children - Sandi (Brad), Jeff (Amanda), Joe (Tara), Cindy (Collin). Her spoiled grandchildren - Andrew (Montana), Joshua (Angelina), Cailie, Ethan, Cody and Oliver. Her precious great grandchildren - Stella and Kaila. Her loving supportive siblings - Mark (Vanita), Gary, Nancy (John), Scott (Maryann) and her numerous nieces and nephews. Lest we forget, she is also survived by her Siberian Husky, “No-no” “leave it” Nala.
We love you and we like you forever.
