Ronald Frank Nixon

Ronald (Ron) Frank Nixon, of Colville WA, passed away due to complications from pneumonia, on March 21, 2025, at Buena Vista Nursing Home in Colville at the age of 85. Ron was born in Colville to Warren Knapp and Irene Stratton-Knapp-Nixon and had three sisters (Arlene Johnson, Sharon Lotze and Lori Nixon Lotze-Lindquist). Ron was a lifelong resident of the Colville area, and many knew him as a talented artist and very knowledgeable of local history. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, step-father Harlan Nixon and his older sister Arlene.

Ron married Jeanette Hills-Nixon-Sly and they had four sons, Rod (Linda), Rick (Amy), Duane (Melanie) and Monty (Paula) and nine grandchildren.

Prior to his passing, he expressed his sincere thanks to all his FaceBook and close, personal friends and family who made his secluded life in the mountains so enjoyable.

Per Ron’s wishes, he will be cremated, there will be no official service and his ashes will be scattered at his mountain home where he had spent the past 50 years.
