Michael Alan Dunsmore

Michael Alan Dunsmore, age 51, of Spokane Valley, Washington died peacefully in his sleep on Dec 30, 2017. Michael had recently suffered heart problems, and returned home from heart surgery at Deaconess Hospital in Spokane on Christmas Day. He appeared to be recovering well, but passed away quietly five days later in his sleep. Michael was born in Burlingame, California to Marcus Lee and Susan Marie Dunsmore. He married Lorri Anne Hardy of Hay Springs, Nebraska in 1993. They had two children; Jessica Dunsmore (1994) and Sarah Dunsmore (1997). Michael and Lorri divorced in 2009. Later, Michael met Mary Hackett and they began sharing their lives together in 2010. In March of 2016, Michael, Mary and their devoted dog Marni moved to their current home in the Spokane Valley. Michael was known for his kind hearted and generous nature, as well as his love of gadgets, electronics, and boats, though he managed to sink a few! He was always willing to lend a hand to those in need, and he was the consummate gentleman, opening doors for one and all. Michael is predeceased by his parents, and he will be missed by his brother, David (Teresa), of Humble, Texas, his two daughters Jessica of Renton, Washington and Sarah, of Kirkland, Washington, his ex-wife Lorri Dunsmore of Kirkland, Washington, his longtime partner Mary Hackett of Spokane Valley, Washington, and Marni, their dog, as well as his many friends and coworkers. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on January 21, 2017 at Beit Tikvah located at 7935 136th Avenue SE, Newcastle, Washington.
