Merl Clark Wisbey Passed away June 11, 2023 in Spokane, WA at the age of 69. He was born November 05, 1953 in Spokane, WA. Son of Merl L. Wisbey and Eula Wisbey. He lived in Spokane until he was 2 years old, then the family moved to Oregon. His father passed away when he was 4 years old. He lived with family in Adrian, OR until he was 6 years old. Merl graduated from Central Valley High School in 1973. He served in the US Marine Corp October 1973 – April 1994. He was a Gunnery Sergeant and an Engineer Equipment Chief. He had many awards and medals including the National Defense Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, and Navy Achievement Medal. Merl was very active in his church, enjoyed wood carving, volunteering at the food bank, and helped anyone in need. He married Sherry Hickman July 30, 2003 until 2013. He had no children except for his dog Robin; they were always together. After retiring from the Marines, he worked for Securitas as a security guard for 18 years at STA Plaza and the Mukogawa US campus. Survived by sister, Penny Johnson; brother, Clay Wisbey; Stepfather, Allen Davaz; stepsisters, Linda Davaz and Cathy Franklin; Stepbrother, Dan Davaz; Many nieces and nephews; And a very special person who considered him a grandpa, Brooklyn Kittrell.
