Marlene Alice Heffley

Marlene was born on November 27, 1935 in Milton-Freewater, Oregon and left for Heaven on September 30, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her husband George, daughter Sharon, 3 brothers (Lewis, Frankie, Leo), and 2 sisters (Ella and Lorraine). Her last surviving sister, Mary, lives in Idaho.

She leaves behind her children Bob (Peggy), Rita (Jerry), Dianna, Joann (Pat), and Karen (Wayne). She was also one proud Grandma to 18 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Marlene enjoyed gardening, and also feeding and watching the wildlife that ventured onto the Deer Park family farm where she resided for many years. She also enjoyed fishing with Bob, going to rummage sales, reading, baking, and an occasional casino jaunt. Whenever she had the opportunity to go to the ocean and walk on the beach, she’d pack a week in advance! She loved her extended family, near and far, spending time with them, phone calls and visits, and looking forward to the mail for a card or letter.

And what a blessing to witness the moment she gave her heart to the Lord before leaving this world!

She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her. Her legacy will live on in the lives and hearts of us all!
