John Brooks Metcalf

Born to Charlie Speight and Shirley Lorene Speight (Jones) in Ashland, Ohio. After John graduated from Enumclaw High School in 1971, his love of country guided him into a 16 year career in the US Army, where he served in the Medical corps. After retiring from the Army, he continued working in medicine, employed at hospitals in Ellensburg and then Spokane.

John was proceeded in death by his Father Charlie, Stepfather Richard Metcalf and brother Scott Metcalf, Brother in Law Jerry Wilkins and Niece Dawn Wilkins. He is survived by his Mother Shirley, Sons Paul (Dani) (Post Falls, Id), Ricky (Denver, CO), and Larry (Jenny) (Des Moines, WA), Sisters Sherry Kline (Randy) (Spokane, WA) and Rhonda Wilkins (Othello, WA) and Brother Charles (Aurora) (Oak Harbor, WA), Granddaughters Mackenzie, Madison and Miley and Great Grandson Asher (Goff), and many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews in Arkansas and Washington.

John is also survived by his faithful companion “Mr. T”.
