James Robert Kane, age 75 born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 3, 1950, died October 25, 2026 at his home in Spokane County, WA. He was preceded in death by his parents Eugene F. Kane and Elizabeth A (nee Bosler) Kane.
Jim moved to Spokane and pursued a law degree at Gonzaga University and graduated on May 1, 1982. He passed the Washington State Bar examination in May, 1983. He worked for the Spokane County Public Defenders for seventeen years from January 1986 to December 2002.
Jim is survived by his siblings Richard (Lillian) Kane, Mary Anne Pressler (Richard M.D.), Patrick (Heidi) Kane and Timothy (Lori Hartsock-Kane). Jim was a cherished uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews.
